From the Harlem Renaissance through the 90s, in underground communities, zine’s have remained a favorite among artists as a form of self-publication and expression. This camp introduced students to the open-ended and creative world of zine-making through collage, printmaking, and other mixed media forms of image-making. Students learned a variety of bookbinding techniques, along with the history of DIY art publications. This camp was taught by Hannah Pasedag. Pasedag is an Atlanta metro based visual artist, she has a degree in Photography from Savannah College of Arts and Design and specializes in painting, printmaking, and book arts.
