Mary Ann Sampson

Celebration, 35th Anniversary Exhibition IV

QWERTY is a book that I made while in isolation due to the Covid epidemic. I used my ancient Underwood pica typewriter to initiate the drawings and content for the book.

Mary Ann Sampson is an American artist living and working in Ragland, Alabama. She explores the book as a means of expressing visual ideas that stem from recollections of personal events and experiences that have been derived from living in her rural environment of Alabama.
