Seven new art installations opened to the public at Project Row Houses on Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the historic shotgun houses on Holman Street in Houston’s Third Ward. Round 38 is partially devoted to the “Birmingham/Texas Interchange,” an exchange project between Space One Eleven in Birmingham, Alabama and PRH.
Project Row Houses hosted two artists from Birmingham and two artists from Houston who also showed their work in Birmingham in Fall 2013. The three other artists kept in the Project Row Houses’ tradition of creating site-specific works that help achieve PRH’s mission of using art to transform community. Artists included in Round 38 are Sean Shim-Boyle, Derek Cracco, Thomas Sayers Ellis, Kenya Evans, Darin Forehand, Rahul Mitra, M’kina Tapscott and Jurgen Tarrasch.
