Illness Policy

Space One Eleven is committed to the health and wellness of our young artists, teaching artists, visitors, and staff, and asks that you follow our illness guidelines listed here:

If your child exhibits symptoms of short-term, contagious diseases which can be transmitted through casual contact (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, frequent cough, heavy running nose, frequent sneezing, or a temperature of 100ºF or above, etc.) they may not attend art classes or camps at Space One Eleven until the symptoms of illness have been absent for 24 hours.

Additionally, your child should exhibit a fever of less than 100ºF for at least 24 hours, without medication taken to reduce fever, before returning to Space One Eleven.

Should your child develop or display symptoms of illness while at Space One Eleven, the parent/guardian or designated emergency contact will be asked to pick the child up as soon as possible.

It should be noted that any child with an undiagnosed or contagious skin or eye condition cannot attend classes or camps at SOE. Please also notify us in the event that your child is diagnosed as having any communicable disease/infection (e.g. strep throat, scarlet fever, head lice, chicken pox, measles, COVID) so that we may inform other families of possible exposure. Your child’s identity will remain anonymous.

If you, your child, or other family member has been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you consult and follow the CDC COVID Isolation and Precaution Guidelines here:

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us prevent the spread of illness.
