Women with their Work I: Affect + Action
Artists as Activists occurred on Thursday, September 7, 2017 and explored how artists conceive themselves as activists. Exhibiting artists that participated on the panel were Celestia Morgan, Miriam Omura, and L.A. Watson. Birmingham social activist T. Marie King also participated in the panel. The panel was moderated by Jessica Dallow, the Interim Chair and Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Art and Art History.
